The UUCD will be presenting a workshop at the UU Metro District Annual Meeting on Saturday, May 2 2009. see MetroNY Annual Meeting.
The Road to New Sanctuary: How the UU Congregation of Danbury Joined the Movement The New Sanctuary Movement, endorsed by the UUA, serves to assist and advocate for families being torn apart by the current broken immigration system. We’ll describe the whys and hows of joining the Movement, with particular emphasis on achieving consensus and support form the whole congregation. Facilitators: Charles Stark, Lynn Taborsak, and Chris Halfar, Social Action Committee, UU Congregation of Danbury (CT)
So start making plans to attend the District Annual Meeting. The meeting is May 1 & 2 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Jersey City,=2 0NJ. Our workshop will take place at 11:45 AM on Saturday. Join us for many outstanding workshops, inspiring worship, the UU Network Mall, Music, Fun, Fellowship and Food.

Save The Date - February 28, 2009
The UU Congregation at Shelter Rock and the UU Fellowship of Huntington are sponsoring a Peacemaking Forum in preparation for the vote on the draft Statement of Conscience on Peacemaking taking place at General Assembly next June. Let's start planning a UU Road Trip to hear the Rev. Dr. Paul Rasor speak and have opportunities for discussions with other UUs.
New UUA President
The Delegates from the UU Congregation of Danbury will be voting for a new President (as well as other officers) for the UUA at the General Assembly in June 2009. Check out the official website for more information.
