This Unitarian Universalist (UU) Preschool Curriculm is based on the premise that children learn best through experience.
It helps nurture spiritual growth, creativity and a sense of community through imaginative activities and rituals such as rhymes and fingerplays. Includes sessions that introduce children to concepts such as birth and death, dreams and the natural world.
Examples of lesson themes:
- Make clay chalices and learn about UU and other symbols,
- Helping others in the congregation/families,
- Learning about weddings, unions, baby dedications,
- Exploring friendship and feelings with teddy bears!
- Learning about (mostly) Jewish, Christian and seasonal winter and spring holidays
