May Services

May’s theme is Imagination and all services will relate to that idea in some way. Some services may differ slightly from these descriptions, as details of the main presentation aren’t finalized until a day or two before each service.

Sunday, May 4th – Imagine a New Story – Rev. Tony Lorenzen
Rev. Tony Lorenzen invites us to imagine a world in which we dare to imagine a different story than the one we usually tell ourselves about right and wrong and good and evil. He applies this to colonialism, racism, authoritarianism, and religion.

Sunday, May 11th – Mother’s Day – Rev. Hank Peirce
Rev. Hank Peirce helps us celebrate Mother’s Day.

Sunday, May 18th – When Pigs Fly and More Lessons From the Kids – Rev. Sierra-Marie Gerfao
In this multigenerational service, the children will share reflections on what they have been doing and learning in their programs this year.

Sunday, May 25th – There’s a Place for You at Our Table – Rev. Tony Lorenzen
Rev. Tony Lorenzen invites us to imagine a better future for our country and our world. A future of abundance instead of scarcity; of cooperation instead of conflict; of community instead of isolation; of inclusion instead of bigotry; of love instead of hate. He takes us through dystopias and utopias to real possibilities.
