This event is part of the 2017 Nationwide Vigils and Events to #EndGunViolence.
Come together to remember a half a million Americans killed or injured by guns since the Sandy Hook tragedy.
Jeremy Stein will lead a Remembrance of the Newtown Events. He will also share his perspectives and how congregations such as ours can contribute to his effort. Each of us knows Jeremy and the energy he has brought to this congregation. We all know that if we only had the time and energy we would change a number of things about the world. Jeremy has chosen to take a bold step to put his and our convictions into practice. Jeremy will head the CAGV, Connecticut Against Gun Violence group, at the beginning of the new year. And as he begins his leadership of this important group, he is pausing to remember the events in Newtown, 5 years ago.
This is our chance to rededicate our efforts to impact the ever present issue of violence in our country and the role that guns play. Please come to listen to one of our own, dedicated members, as he prepares to bring his own special commitment to this important position.
