Today we join more than 400 UU congregations to address white supremacy in our own lives, and in the life we share together as a Congregation.  This much we know: the United States was built on an economic, political, and social framework of white supremacy.  The question still in 2017: how do we deal with that?

By opening ourselves to some new vocabulary and varied perspectives, Unitarian Universalists can begin to make a change for our congregations and our wider community to further the cause of ending white supremacy and seeking racial justice.

We’ll put fresh eyes on the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “Letter From Birmingham Jail” and begin to engage with our own roles and responsibilities as a people who not only seek to validate the inherent worth and dignity of all human beings, but who strive to create a diverse Beloved Community.
