Sunday Service: Travel As a Political Act

Sunday, June 30th                                      Travel As a Political Act                                  Rev. Heather Rion Starr

Inspired by travel writer Rick Steves, we’ll consider any trips or travel we might be looking forward to this summer as a chance to learn and connect with new people, new communities, new customs. What does it mean to absorb and even plan for Steves’ vision: “Travel broadens our perspectives personally, culturally, and politically. Suddenly, the palette with which we paint the story of our lives has more colors. We realize there are exciting options to the social and community norms that our less traveled neighbors may never consider.”
