Well known to area audiences from past concerts and air play over the years, Mustard’s Retreat found success quickly based on their live performances and engaging original songs.

The performances are joyful, uplifting, intelligent, thought-provoking and insightful. A reviewer early in their career described their performance as “Music to cure what ails you.” In the past few years they have described their shows as “Defiantly Hopeful,” partly in terms of their long career, but more as a statement of what the music, and the folk community, has meant to them.
