Upcoming in Children and Youth Ministries
After the following two intentionally multigenerational services this June, our summer program break begins in earnest:
- Senior High and Bridging Sunday (June 1)
- Flower Ceremony (June 8)
We will have a few special events over the summer, so caregivers please stay tuned to your email for announcements. And even while regular weekly programs are on hold for the summer, of course, we encourage families to attend the service! We are currently getting our nursery staffed for the summer and plan to open it to children of any age during services, in case there are kids who prefer not to stay in the service.
The Nursery Is Hiring – Immediately
We need one additional summer childcare provider to provide care for a one month period, from June 22nd through July 27th. Are you interested? Do you know someone who might be? Please get in touch with Sierra-Marie right away. You can reach her at dre@uudanbury.org.
Calling All Congregants!
We need volunteers for next year’s children and youth ministries. There are lots of ways to get involved. Please contact Sierra-Marie at dre@uudanbury.org to find the right fit for you and your skills and interests.
Contacting Rev. Sierra-Marie Over the Summer
During June our Director of Religious Education will not hold weekly in-office hours but will be available to meet by appointment and answer phone calls and emails until June 15th. After that date she will be attending the UU Minister’s Association Ministry Days, the Liberal Religious Educator’s Association Professional Day, and the Unitarian Universalist Association’s General Assembly.
In July and August, she will be doing a combination of professional development, vacation, and 2024-2025 preparation time. Please note that her summer response time may be slower. When she is using vacation time, an email auto-reply will notify you of when she next will be available.
