September Services

September’s theme is Belonging and all services will relate to that idea in some way. Some services may differ slightly from these descriptions, as details of the main presentation aren’t finalized until a day or two before each service.

Sunday, September 7th / Inclusive Waters / Revs. Tony Lorenzen and Sierra-Marie Gerfao
Revs. Tony and Sierra-Marie lead a multigenerational Ingathering Water Communion celebration. Bring a little bit of water from a place you visited, or water that represents something life giving for you. We’ll pour our water into a common bowl during the service.

Sunday, September 14th / Build a Longer Table / Rev. Lindasusan Ulrich
When you have more than you need, build a longer table, not a higher fence. Join Rev. Lindasusan Ulrich as they reflect on the power of relationship.

Rev. Lindasusan Ulrich (they/them) is a minister, writer, musician, and activist dedicated to a vision of radical inclusion, deep collaboration, and courageous kindness. Lindasusan has served congregations in Connecticut, Michigan, and Minnesota; is a certified spiritual director; and currently serves as a member of the Ministerial Fellowship Committee. Rev. Lindasusan identifies as a nonbinary bisexual person of color, and while you may not be able to tell from this bio, they are also quite funny.

Sunday, September 21st / Your Belonging as Civic Duty / Rev. Tony Lorenzen

Rev. Tony reflects on how belonging to a congregation and other voluntary associations is a civic duty that both creates and strengthens a free democratic society.
