From the Board of Trustees
by Todd Zagorec, Trustee
THANK YOU!
This congregation does so many important things. Our Family Ministry creates a safe, nurturing place for our young people to make friends, be themselves, and engage in value-based learning and experiences grounded in the principles of JETPIG (those would be justice, equity, transformation, pluralism, interdependence, and generosity . . . in case, like me, you need an occasional reminder).
We stand in solidarity with Danbury Unites for Immigrants to support our friends and neighbors under attack. The Caregivers of LGBTQIA+ Kids Group is a supportive community of celebration for our kids. The Caring Committee stands ready to help anyone at any time.
These are just a few examples of how UUCD changes lives – and you make all of that possible when you volunteer your time and pledge your financial support. Our annual pledge drive will begin in a few weeks. Please think about how much UUCD means to all of us as you consider your pledge for the coming year. Thank you. You make the difference.
I’d like to add a thank-you to Jeff Asher, who has stepped down from the Board of Trustees after two and one-half years of tireless service. No one approached the work more conscientiously and thoughtfully than Jeff. We will miss Jeff’s keen insights and honest views. Jeff cares. Deeply. Thanks Jeff.
