Here is some news from the most recent UU Danbury Board of Trustees meeting:

  • A date was set for our congregation’s Annual Meeting: June 7, after the Sunday Service.
  • April 8 is the deadline for prospective new members to join if they want to vote at the Annual Meeting. You do not have to be a member to attend these meetings or to pledge.

  • Before the Annual Meeting, we will hold Town Hall meetings. At a Town Hall you have an opportunity to discuss the issues in advance and in depth. This helps make our Annual Meetings run more smoothly and avoids overly long meetings. We expect UU Danbury’s budget to be an important topic for discussion. Even if you are not interested in the budget, there will be information about the activities of UU Danbury during the past year and our plans for the future at the Annual Meeting.

Town Hall Dates are:

  •     Sunday, May 31 after the service in the Lower Level Meeting Room. Annie Senol and Margaret Henderson will lead the meeting.
    •     Tuesday, June 2 at 7pm – in the Lower Level Meeting Room. Margaret Henderson and LouAnn Heller will lead the meeting.
  • Todd Zagorec will be leading the April Pledge Drive, which starts March 29. Do you want to pledge now? Use this link!
  • Something to remember: UU Danbury’s annual pledge drive happens in April, so that we can prepare the budget in May and vote on it in June. Our fiscal year runs July 1st – June 30th.
  • Board Members’ pledges were due on March 16.
  • At our last Board meeting, the deficit we projected last year seemed to have decreased somewhat. Your generosity, your efforts, and the Board’s make a difference. By June 7th there will be further news – don’t miss the meeting! If you have questions and want an in-depth conversation please come to the Town Hall Meetings. We also will make these meetings accessible via Zoom.
