NEW Pathways THROUGH Membership Class
The UU Congregation of Danbury will offer a series of three 1 hour long classes called Pathways THROUGH Membership. Taken as a group they are Everything You Need to Know about Unitarian Universalism and The UU Congregation of Danbury.
These classes are open to everyone. For those seeking to become members of the congregation, these are required classes. For those who have been Unitarian Universalists for many years, they are great refreshers.
The three classes are labeled A, B, and C;
- Class A is about UU history and theology, including our spiritual diversity and current UU values.
- Class B is about Getting to Know UUCD which includes a facilities tour, UUCD History, and how to get involved in things in the congregation.
- Class C deals with the rights and responsibilities of congregational membership, how we govern the congregation, our use of the democratic process, and the congregation’s finances and fundraising.
No registration is required. If you need childcare during the class time, please contact Rev. Tony or Lisa Horton ahead of time. The classes will be downstairs in the Fellowship Hall and begin at 11:30 a.m. following Sunday morning service. The schedule of these classes for this spring is as follows:
