People of all ages are welcome.
March’s theme is Paying Attention and all services will relate to that idea in some way. Some services may differ slightly from these descriptions, as details of the main presentation aren’t finalized until a day or two before each service.
March 1 – Prepare for Oryoki – Rev. Tony Lorenzen
Rev. Tony Lorenzen reflects on how a meal at a Zen Buddhist retreat helped him understand what it means to pay attention.
After the service – UU 101
Class A on UU History and Theology after the service in the cottage.
Everyone is welcome to this class and discussion to learn more about our history and theology. Those who are new to Unitarian Universalism or are considering membership at UU Danbury are especially encouraged to attend. Just drop in, no registration is required.
March 8 – Rev. Dr. Michael Tino – Paying Attention
Rev. Dr. Michael Tino of the Church of the Larger Fellowship reflects on Paying
Attention.
The Rev. Dr. Michael Tino (they/them) is the co-Lead Minister of the Church of the Larger Fellowship, our UU congregation without borders or walls. They have been a UU religious professional since 1998, including serving UUA as the Director of Young Adult and Campus Ministry from 2001-2007, and have held a wide variety of leadership and volunteer roles in our Association.
March 15 – Pivot People – Rev. Tony Lorenzen
Rev. Tony Lorenzen reflects on the fundamental shifts in perspectives individuals and congregations need to make to transform our lives and the world.
After the service – Discussion on Abolition and LGBTQIA issues after the service in the cottage.

March 22 – Rev. Suze Shaner reflects on Paying Attention
Rev. Suze Shaner-Brodax, PCC, MA, MS, RYT, is an executive coach and leadership consultant, interfaith/interspiritual minister, trained expressive arts therapist, speaker, writer, artist, yoga and meditation teacher, certified holistic health counselor, Reiki master, organic gardener, and lover of nature and the human spirit. For more than 30 years, she has explored dozens of healing modalities and led workshops on a range of topics related to Spirit, personal growth, and leadership. She has a particular passion for supporting people in their well-being and living their purpose in sustainable ways that support our collective global transformation.
March 20 – Follow the Money – Rev. Tony Lorenzen
On this Stewardship Sunday Rev. Tony Lorenzen reflects on how as individuals and as a congregation we tend to put our money, not only where our mouth is, but also where our mission is, and what it looks like to do this more intentionally.
